Its April! I can’t believe how fast this year is going. Isn’t that always how it is though? And it just gets faster the older you get. That’s one reason I love this photo project. It gives me something to remember from everyday so the days are remembered as days and not as just a big ol blur of time. If that makes any sense. 🙂 Anyways. Check out what I’ve been up to this month! Mostly lots of nature photos since I just love flowers and sunsets, and critters. 🙂
April 1, 2016: The dogwood trees are my favorite. Just gorgeous. And they remind me of home since Virginia’s state flower is the dogwood. 🙂
April 2, 2016: Gorgeous blue skies.
April 3, 2016: My beloved violets started popping up everywhere. 🙂
April 4, 2016: I received my AMAZING portrait from My Dearest Creations. We traded services which I wrote about here! Its so great to get something for “free” just by trading your own services.
April 7, 2016: Delicious bakery muffins were on sale at Target so I had to grab some for a tasty quick breakfast. Muffins and coffee is like the perfect breakfast treat.
April 8, 2016: Ryan and I drove to Ashville, NC to hang out with my parents for the weekend. What should have been a short ish drive ended up taking like all day because we were stuck in traffic on the interstate for 2 hours. I got so bored and started taking pictures. And this is what I have to go through to get a photo with my husband, Ryan… Hahaha I still love him. 🙂
April 9, 2016: We visited the Biltmore Estate with my parents and it was AMAZING! I loved it. So much history, and it felt like I was in a fairytale castle, so of course I loved that. This photo originally had a bunch of cars/buses and people in it with a plain cloudless sky so I worked some Photoshop magic on it to get one really perfect photo of it.
April 10, 2016: We went to the Mother Earth News fair in Ashville and it was amazing! If you haven’t heard of this magazine, its really awesome. Its about all things related to homesteading, farming, natural remedies, organic gardening, and DIY everything like cheese making, canning, soap making, living off the grid, and all that type of awesomeness, so we had a great time at the fair. The food trucks were amazing too and even had grass-fed cheeseburgers. I was sold. Haha
April 11, 2016: More beautiful dogwoods!
April 12, 2016: I found a bunch of these little guys while working on my garden. So cute.
April 13, 2016: Some intense clouds.
April 14, 2016: I mixed some fresh peaches and strawberries with some cranberry juice and white wine to make a sangria-ish drink and it was delish!
April 15, 2016: We have the cutest little birds living in our back yard!
