Hey y’all! Today I wanted to share my recipe for exfoliating coffee soap! This soap recipe is extremely gritty and is made with actual (liquid) coffee as well as coffee grounds! Which make it look pretty and provide that super exfoliating-ness! If you’re a girl who’s on pinterest at all I’m sure you’ve seen those coffee cellulite scrubs all over the place that are supposed to increase circulation from the caffeine and the scrubbiness in order to reduce cellulite. I’ve tried those before and found it to be extremely messy. Its also kind of a pain to apply and then you have to clean your entire shower. Such a hassle! If you love coffee scrubs but hate the annoying application and mess, than using this soap will be a lifesaver to you. I love to use it on my legs in the same way you’d use any coffee cellulite scrub. Its not JUST for that though, I use it all over my body and even use it to just wash my hands. Its especially great if you’ve got really dirty hands after working in the garden, painting, or doing anything else that gets your hands really messy. If you use it all over your body you might want to use a washcloth for more sensitive skin areas, such as your face, stomach, etc. I love using it directly on my legs though. It actually feels really good and is great at increasing that circulation and making your skin extra soft!
This recipe could be made hot process or cold process. I’ll be sharing the recipe for hot process, but if you’re familiar with soap making and want to use the recipe for cold process go right ahead! If you’re completely unfamiliar with soap making check out my post Soap Making For Beginners! It sounds completely daunting and overwhelming, but I promise, its extremely simple- you just have to take some safety precautions and you can definitely do it. Its so much fun to make soap! I want to make more but I promised myself I’d use most of the soap I already have before making more because we don’t have room to store 50 bars of soap. 🙂 Ingredients Instructions
