Happy May! I hope everyone’s May is going splendidly. Mine is going by way too fast, as usual. Its been a really awesome month so far! I had some really exciting fun awesome days and some wonderfully average days. I love those average days just as much as the super exciting days because I’m such a homebody. If I did exciting fun things everyday I would be exhausted. I love “normal” days where all I do is go to work, come home make dinner, workout, and bum around watching Netflix with Ryan. 🙂 Here’s a look at my May so far!
May 1, 2016: Tulip poplar trees are everywhere around here and were recently in full bloom! They are Tennessee’s state tree I believe. They’re so pretty!
May 2, 2016: Some of the chickens here at the campground were traded for baby turkeys! I love the turkeys so much more because they’re much more chill than the chickens, which were spastic. This little sweetie just let me hold him. So adorable!!
May 3, 2016: Contrary to these past few photos, I don’t live on a farm, but we do live beside one! I love watching the cows when they wander in the field beside us. The calves are so cute! These cows are quite skittish. When I start walking towards the fence they’ll all look up and stare at me. They usually run away before I can get too close, but this time I got pretty close! Maybe they’re starting to trust me. They eventually did walk off though- I think they like their privacy. Haha!
May 4, 2016: Homemade pizza is becoming a really frequent meal for us because we both love it. Homemade dough, sauce, and we put our own toppings on it so we both get exactly what we want. Its the best!
May 5, 2016: It was shop late night in town and a bunch of little boutiques were open late so I went with my mother in law and she got me this adorable apron. I’m in love with it!
May 6, 2016: I *gasp!* took this one on my crappy cell phone. I went to eat at my aunt’s restaurant on the lake and I forgot my camera. The sunset was too pretty to not take advantage of it though so my crappy cell phone had to suffice just this once!
May 7, 2016: Buttercups! I love em.
May 8, 2016: For mother’s day Ryan’s mom wanted us “kids” to cook a special meal so this was my contribution: Tiramisu cheesecake. It was heavenly!! If you missed the post where I shared the recipe you can find it right here!
May 9, 2016: I found this really awesome plant and still haven’t figured out what it is. If anyone knows, let me know in the comments!
May 10, 2016: Our sweet neighbors gave us these gorgeous strawberries!
May 11, 2016: I love going barefoot so much.
May 12, 2016: The sky looked heavenly!
May 13, 2016: Ryan’s cousin came down to Nashville for her bachelorette party weekend and I was honored to be able to tag along. Friday we went to this gorgeous local place- Arrington Vineyard! We explored the grounds a bit, took photos, and then did wine tasting inside. It was very fun!
May 14, 2016: I pulled out my old cowboy boots to go do fun touristy bachelorette party-ish things in downtown Nashville. It was lots of fun! We did the famous pedal-tavern and went to lots of places to listen to live music. At night we went to a dueling pianos bar and it was so funny and a total blast!
May 15, 2016: After a busy weekend with so much more activity than usual, I had a lazy Sunday complete with multiple cups of coffee. 🙂
