Hey y’all! Happy November! (Late again!) I feel like so much is happening this month! The election, then Ryan and I were gone for a week for a KOA Convention, then Thanksgiving right after that, and now Christmas prep! With so much hustle and bustle its been harder than ever to motivate myself to post on my blog! I’m giving myself some slack though with everything going on, so I apologize for the lack of posts. After the new year my goal is to get back into a more regular schedule! I know that DIY beauty recipes are the most popular thing on my blog so I hope to come up with some more great ones to share with you. Have a look at my November so far in the photos below!!
November 1, 2016: I started to get a bit more into painting lately! Something I used to enjoy a lot in high school. My friend Annie has inspired me to get back into it a bit. This painting is inspired by Erin Gregory’s work- she’s an artist I really love!
November 2, 2016: Cinnamon soap made from scratch! These will make their way to some friends and family for Christmas gifts this year. 🙂 Recipe coming soon!!
November 3, 2016: Apples for some cobbler. Yummm.
November 4, 2016: I was having a crappy day at work and my husband Ryan brought me a flower. Perked me right up. He’s a sweetie. 🙂
November 5, 2016: More paintings I did! This time Christmas themed paintings for my decor!! I love them.
November 6, 2016: This is what’s left of the flowers Ryan got me in October. They’re STILL not dead today as I’m writing this on 11/27!
November 7, 2016: Local grass-fed ribeye steak with creamy garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. SO GOOD. I’m so thrilled to have found an affordable place to buy local pastured beef!! If you’re local in Middle Tennessee or northern Alabama, check out Olive Branch Wagyu!
November 8, 2016: Morning light!
November 9, 2016: We participated in Operation Christmas Child again this year! I got presents for a little girl and Ryan for a little boy. Its a fun little date that helps others! Highly recommend 🙂
November 10, 2016: The turkeys!! We ate one of these poor fellas for Thanksgiving and he was sure tasty!
November 11, 2016: Another Christmas painting! This was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest and I thought I could paint it. Love it!! Looks just like the pretty cows we get our raw milk from. 🙂
November 12, 2016: Slowly but surely getting some Christmas decor up!! I love these fun pillow covers.
November 13, 2016: Ryan and I headed down to Chatanooga for the annual KOA Convention! Chatanooga was unfortunately extremely hazy and smokey due to forrest fires nearby. You can kind of see the smoke a bit in this photo.
November 14, 2016: On a free day we walked around downtown Chatanooga a bit and found the cutest coffee/wine bar and got an afternoon pick me up and sat outside since it was surprisingly warm. Several people walking the streets actually had dust masks on over their mouths because of the smoke!
November 15, 2016: While in Chatanooga we also went to the Tennessee Aquarium! I love aquariums for some reason (except the penguin display made me sad…) Anyways, they also had a butterfly garden which was fun. 🙂
That’s a bit of what I’ve been up to lately! I’ll be posting part 2 in just a few days! I will also be sharing that cinnamon soap recipe later in the week for my fellow soap-makers! Stay tuned and happy November!
