Hey ya’ll! As promised here is my blog post about our Alaska trip! I took literally hundreds of photos so even though this is a lot of photos, it is extremely narrowed down. Haha! These are the highlights of our trip and some of my favorite photos and memories! I hope you enjoy!
As a latte lover I had to take a photo of my amazing latte and scone! This was in Anchorage! There were so many amazing little cafes and coffee shops and bakeries around there! Ryan and I are major foodies so it was heaven for us. 😉 This is just an iphone shot but most of these will be taken on my Nikon D7100 with lots of different lenses!
The airplane trip was so much better with these amazing views!! I’ve never seen so many snow covered mountains in my whole life.
We stayed at a lot of air b & bs and I loved this giant Alaskan map on the wall of our first one!
Zander LOVED Ryan. It was so sweet.
Our group on one of many road trips! We drove alllll over the state! If you’re familiar with Alaska, we drove from Anchorage down to Seward, then back up to Anchorage and to Talkeetna and then finally Fairbanks!
Surprisingly Alaska has tons of little breweries! Even Talkeetna had one! Everyone enjoyed it but me obviously, but I wasn’t sad because I don’t like beer anyways! The food was also delicious so I was quite happy!
Ryan told me to get on his shoulders for a photo but I had to lean back because his head was smashing the baby and then I felt like I was going to fall off. Hahaha! And that was when this photo was taken!
A lot of our trip was spent driving! But we didn’t mind because these were the views! We made tons of stops along the way to take pictures!
Fairbanks was the land of birch forests! I was completely obsessed with them! My sister took us to this park with winding paths through the (melting) snow so it looked really magical! Unfortunately with all the melting snow, many of the paths were flooded and we couldn’t make it through many of them!
This is 2am sun! This was supposedly the darkest time of night so we set alarms and went out to try to get photos of the northern lights! Unfortunately it was too light outside to see any. (BUMMER!) But I still got a few neat night time shots!
We couldn’t pass up getting a few maternity photos in the magical forests! 🙂 ^This is probably my favorite pregnancy photo I’ve gotten to date! I think it looks like it came out of a fairy tale. And if you know me, you know I love fairytales!
We trekked through waist-deep snow at times to make it to this sketchy swinging bridge over a frozen river!! It wasn’t a “hard” hike but I guess being pregnant and hiking through that much deep snow really did me in! I was in so much pain the next day. Haha! But so worth it.
Well that about sums up our trip! I feel like I could post hundreds more photos and go into so much more but this was enough for one day!! Those who have been to Alaska, what was your favorite part?!
