Hey y’all! Hope everyone had a great August and early September! The last couple weeks of August were crazy for us because we had our friends from Michigan come stay with us! They are like the real life cheaper by the dozen family, and there is never a dull moment! The oldest of the 12 kids is Ryan’s best friend. He and his wife have two girls of their own with another baby on the way. It was a little hectic having an extra 17-ish people here, but it was a lot of fun! I didn’t get around to taking a photo some of the days (which will be obvious) but I did my best! Hope you enjoy. 🙂
August 16, 2016: I attempted painting the blue ridge mountains so we could have some decorations for our walls…I don’t love it. But it is hanging up for now. Maybe I’ll try to fix it at some point. Haha
August 17, 2016: Gorgeous sunset.
August 18, 2016: This was one of the kids visiting us. She turned 2 so we had to celebrate with cake and ice cream!
August 19, 2016: I made a cute sign for our house guests. 🙂
August 20, 2016: Coffee break with Ryan during our 12 hour Saturday work-day. I love these “you are here” mugs from Starbucks!
August 21, 2016: I went to the park with my friend Courtney and got some adorable photos of her with her 2 girls!
August 22, 2016: I shared my recipe for homemade blush on here. If you missed it, check it out here!
August 23, 2016: Has anyone tried this? I know soda is bad….but sometimes its a nice treat. Am I right?! This stuff is made with a little cane sugar and stevia, so its low in sugar and doesn’t have corn syrup. It makes me feel better about having coke. 😉
August 24, 2016: Ryan made some amazing blueberry pancakes!
August 25, 2016: These are our friends I was telling you about. Aren’t they the most beautiful family ever?? I was super nervous to try to take a family photo for them because being in business taking tons of family photos for 4 years left a bad taste in my mouth for family photography, plus I’ve never worked with this many people before! Especially with all the kids…BUT these guys made it so easy, for real! I had to do some head swapping, which was expected, but everyone was so behaved and cooperative and happy. Love them!! And I’m in love with this photo. ::Heart Eyes::
August 26, 2016: This is the newest member of the family, and he is the sweetest!
August 27, 2016: All the boys of the family!
August 28, 2016: Cutest vintagey magnet with helpful kitchen conversions.
August 29, 2016: I posted my recipe for lavender bud soap! Check it out here if you missed it!
August 30, 2016: Tea with some “bee bread”. If you missed my most recent post about bee propolis, check it out here! Its also my very first sponsored post, so I’m pretty proud. Yay!
August 31, 2016: I invented a new meal…sweet potato and sausage hash with sausage gravy. It looks weird but it was amazing! Thy only downfall was I didn’t cook the sweet potatoes properly…I tried to get them crispy but they got mushy… I will try to make it better next time and maybe I’ll share the recipe!
